Smartface Server enables distribution of
Smartface Mobile applications and dynamic updates to a
wide range of mobile devices. Push installations are
possible via standard OTA protocols. Device Management
enables advanced handset tracking which can report
dynamic history of software delivery, content updates
and user activity.
Device Manager enables profiling different type of
mobile devices for application deployment. A Handset
Profile is a group of handset models which share similar
capabilities such as screen size, processing power or
memory.
Dynamic content
Smartface Server manages dynamic updates of content,
which is scheduled for regular intervals or triggered by
the user at run-time. Dynamic content updates include
daily updates for news or weather , weekly updates for
ringtones chart and the overall update of mobile user
interface.
Mobile Application
Delivery Management
Smartface Server manages the distribution of software
and dynamic updates to a wide range of devices. OTA
delivery of mobile applications is available by using
WAP-Push technology. Download Manager keeps track of
personalized application download process and reports
download success, indicating major download failures
such as insufficient memory and connection errors.
Content Manager
Smartface Content Manager helps you to manage dynamic
content in your mobile applications. Thought a web based
content management system, wireless provides can update
the dynamic content which feeds mobile applications.
External content feeds can also be easily integrated to
Smartface Server using RSS, Atom or propriety XML feed
structures.
Tracking
and reporting
Smartface Mobile applications log and report user
activities including buttons clicks, downloads and user
navigation. Tracking information is stored in the
handset and reported to the Smartface Server during
content synchronization.
Segmentation and personalization
Segment approach is a way to categorize mobile
subscribers. By creating new segments, you can
categorize users according to their preferences or usage
patterns. Also, the overall user experience is
customized for each segments.
Security
In order to ensure the security of updates, Smartface
Server uses a key-matching algorithm between server and
mobile client. It enables securing server access to
client and vice-versa.
Integration with existing
infrastructure
All functionality provided by Smartface Server is
remotely consumable through XML SOAP Web Services.
Implementing this feature, Smartface Server supports
seamless integration with operators’ existing service
delivery, billing, messaging, and download platforms.
